Classic DC Row House Transformed With Addition and Pop-Up
CHALLENGE The owners of a DC row house wanted much more space with an open floor plan on the main floor while adding 4 more bedrooms, 2 new baths and 2 more laundry stations. Municipal zoning rules changed mid design phase requiring further input from neighbors and the ANC.
APPROACH Noël Design Build’s team architect came up with a modern, balanced design for the rear addition transforming the interior space while maintaining the integrity of the classic row house street view.
RESULTS
The rear addition and pop-up adding another floor with private roof deck have greatly enhanced their home and doubled their interior living space.
