CHALLENGE
These clients had a very small and outdated galley kitchen. There was a small enclosed porch off the kitchen, which was cut off by a powder room. The clients wanted a larger kitchen, one which was much more practical, functional, lighter, and better tied into the rear outdoor space.
APPROACH
During design, Noël Design Build recommended relocating the powder room to the interior of the house and extending the kitchen beyond the rear porch. This would allow for much more light to be brought into the kitchen space, and for a better transition into a new backyard patio area.
RESULTS
The kitchen was transformed from a dark inner room into one with many windows and skylights, and that overlooks an inviting patio. The kitchen turned out so well that the cabinet supplier requested to be able to use photos from the job in the promotion of their products.
